A Durham native who enjoys photography, video production, storytelling, traveling, sports, music, and food.

Marisa Rauwald is an associate producer for CBS Sports where she works to build and distribute elements and animations for remote games, taped shows, and packaged productions. In addition, she produces flashbacks, vignettes, teases, and bumpers for live games and events.

Before joining CBS Sports in December 2023, Rauwald was an associate producer for NBC News where she managed the anchor and production schedule for MSNBC. She worked directly with senior vice presidents, executive producers, and production crew to appropriately backfill for anchors who needed time off of their shows, and adjust programming in response to breaking news such as indictments, mass shootings, natural disasters, and war coverage. In addition, she oversaw and managed a roster of talent ranging from anchors to on-air contributors.

Rauwald held various roles at NBC Sports before joining NBC News: a Beijing Winter Olympics & Paralympics production assistant where she prepped and supported edits that produced athlete-driven features and marketing content, a Tokyo Summer Olympic researcher who served as the point-of-contact for company-wide questions associated with soccer, volleyball, and shooting, and a creative services coordinator in the on-air promotions department where she oversaw the production of on-air promotions for NBC's diverse sports portfolio.

Rauwald is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During her time as a Tar Heel, she double majored in broadcast journalism and media production and received a minor in global cinema and a certificate in sports communication. As a student, Rauwald was a production assistant for The ACC Network, a reporter and producer for Sports Xtra (UNC’s live sportscast), and the marketing chair of Carolina Fever – UNC’s largest student-run organization that promotes support for all Tar Heel sports teams.
